  一、代詞

  (一)單復(fù)數(shù)一致

  1.含義：

  代詞的單復(fù)數(shù)與所指代對(duì)象的單復(fù)數(shù)一致。

  2.用法：

  (1)代詞一般指代主語(yǔ)或賓語(yǔ)，根據(jù)句意判斷。

  例如：

  Because of his tireless effort, Tom got a GPA of 4.0 this semester.

  Mary is an easy-going girl and she always play with her friends.

  (二)指代清晰

  1. 含義：

  代詞一定要清晰的指代它所指代的對(duì)象。

  2. 用法：

  (1)在段首，代詞名詞選名詞。

  例如：

  Neither Ms. Perez nor Ms. Tanaka believes that watching as much television as Ms. Perez’s son Sam does will lead to anything productive.

  (三)形容詞性物質(zhì)代詞

  1.含義：

  具有形容詞屬性的代詞，相當(dāng)于形容詞的用法，單數(shù)用its, 復(fù)數(shù)用their。

  2.用法：

  (1)its, their一般指代就近名詞、主語(yǔ)或賓語(yǔ)，根據(jù)句意判斷。

  例句：

  An increase fund for cometary mission would give scientists an opportunity to learn from their failures.
