  The chart below shows the percentage of costs on three different categories by five age groups of people in one country in 2009.

  Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

  The bar chart compares the distribution of expenditures on three diverse items in terms of five age groups in one specific nation in 2009.

  According to the chart, people in most of the age brackets allocated higher proportion of budget on clothes compared with the other two categories. To be specific, people aged under 25 provided 11% of cost for clothes, followed by 9% for electronic products and merely 6% for holiday. Similarly, as for people in the age group of 26-34, the expenditure on clothes still occupied the largest proportion, at up to 13% while the figure for holiday was slightly higher than that for electronic products. The similar cost pattern could be seen for the age group of 35-44 and 45-64, among which the latter showed the largest percentage of cost on clothes among all the age categories, reaching as much as 17%.

  By contrast, people who were 65 years old and over would like to spend more on holiday, with 17% of budget allocated to this item, relatively higher than any other age group. 6% of cost belonged to clothes and only 4% of spending was for electronic products, placed last.

  Overall, the proportions of expenditure on holiday and clothes generally increased with age while the share of cost on electronic products showed a downward trend.
