  關于這個題目，很多同學看到問題后，第一反應肯定就是：當然啊，必須啊，人類應該控制化石燃料的使用。接下來可能就會想到幾條理由，比如化石燃料是不可再生的，因此應該為后代節約;化石燃料會引起環境污染，因此應該少用;等等。

  這樣寫有什么問題嗎?應該說也沒有什么大的問題，但就是太一般化，太絕對化，這樣的觀點不會引起考官的注意，因此很難得到比較理想的分數(除非語言表達好到令考官無法拒絕)。為什么呢?

  大家仔細看看這個題目，它本身就是一個非常絕對的觀點：世界上所有國家都必須馬上控制化石燃料的使用，而考題問的是：你在何種程度上同意或者不同意這個觀點?因此，考題應該會期待考生對題目這個絕對觀點有所保留，去論證這個絕對觀點帶來的后果，從而從某種程度上不同意這個絕對觀點。這就是唐老師經常提及的一個觀點：雅思考試作文中應盡量體現“批判性”的思維，尤其是在這種“在何種程度上同意還是不同意”的題目中。

  It is generally agreed that non-renewable fossil fuels—oil, coal and natural gas--come with a cost as they irreparably damage the environment and harm human health. We all know that oil is the single largest source of air pollution that may result in global warming and then cause climate to change. Coal smoke is largely responsible for human diseases, especially respiratory diseases like asthma. At the same time, natural gas is possibly the chief culprit in the contaminated groundwater and earthquakes. It is, therefore, necessary for the international community to act immediately to ensure that all countries phase out fossil fuels.

More and more countries are turning to these constant power sources to help offset their reliance on oil, coal and natural gas. These green methods of solar panels and wind turbines can allow users to harness the free, inexhaustible supply of energy, while creating zero pollution.
