  The foreign country I am going to tell you is Japan.It is an island country located to the east of China.As one of the most developed countries on the world,I bet you must have heard about it and have a certain degree of understanding.

  Given the historical entanglement between China and Japan,ever since primary school,Chinese pupils have been educated about its ferocity and cruelty.In 1931,Japan invaded China from the northeast and did not pull back until 1945 when its emperor declared defeat.This article is from Laokaoya website. During this period,over 30 million Chinese people died and most of them were innocent civilians.So at first,Japan was just another word for evil in my mind.

  But when I got to high school,I accidentally watched a Japanese Anime called Gundan seed.It deeply reflected the sufferings wars brought and presented a different image of Japanese people.It seems that they are just normal individuals like us,who have beloved ones,relatives and can feel the pain.

  The more I learn about this country,the more confused I am.How could such a normal nation have behaved so ruthlessly in the war.They used live persons for medical experiments and toxic gas testing, killed civilians simply for fun and even set competition to see who could cut more heads off in the given time.That is why I want to keep digging into it and try to figure out the logic between their contrasting behaviours.
