  Some groups of people are beneficial from modern communication technology, but some of them think they are not beneficial from these. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

  Now you are benefiting from the use of the mobile phone and the Internet as social interaction media, could you imagine what your daily lives would be without these inventions? Living in this age of information technology may be a blessing, but there seems to be an undesirable feeling under disguise.

  The merits of high-tech means of communication come as follows.Firstly,it has become incredibly easy to contact each other electronically and share information instantly in social community. Through digital networking, the cellphone and the Internet have updated the life standard of the current generation. Gone are the days when people could only communicate via fixed telephone or writing letters which took several days to reach others. Apart from being able to connect people anywhere and anytime, new cellphones combined with Internet technology boast cutting-edge functions such as sharing photos and videos with more friends simultaneously. No one is not crazy about Facebook and Twitter that are on their computer screens or smart phones.

  In spite of the merits mentioned above, never should we turn a blind eye to the defects of this technological progress. First and foremost, excessive use of Internet and mobile phone has been undermining our interpersonal relationship offline. Even during a face-to-face conversation, it is no rare thing that everyone is busy looking at his cellphone, neglecting his friends or families across the dinner table. Worse still, the users` privacy is at stake on line. Chances are that they may unconsciously leak their personal information by posting pictures or exposing profiles that strangers can get access to. That is why cyber fraud is becoming increasingly rampant there. This channel of committing crimes can bring more looming hazards than a daylight robbery.

  As far as social interaction is concerned, the benefits of modern communication technology seem indeed too good to be blamed as long as the users keep it under control.
